NEW Classes at Brea Bead Works

I'm super excited to make this announcement: After a few years of absence, I'm coming back to Brea Bead Works to teach some fun and creative new workshops in February and March! The Altered Penny Charm Bracelet pictured above will take place on Feb. 16 (Saturday) and the Worm Bead Bracelet pictured below will take place on March 17 (Sunday).
Both classes run from 10 am to approximately 5 pm (could end a little earlier if everyone finishes quickly).
The bracelets can be made using copper wire as shown in the samples, or with sterling silver or fine silver or gold-filled. The one wire-type that I don't recommend using is brass. Only because it's really tough, and work-hardens so quickly. If you have VERY strong hands and experience using brass wire to make jewelry, certainly bring it if you prefer. Otherwise, let's stick to a more malleable type of wire, OK? Supply lists are available at Brea Bead Works, or you can email me and I'd be happy to send you one in a Word document.
Both classes are suitable for beginners. If you don't know how to make a wrapped eye-pin loop or jump rings, that's OK, because there will be time in class to show you these techniques. You'll also make twisted wire jump rings and lots of other cool stuff. Fun!
Needless to say, you can convert these bracelets into necklaces if you prefer, but you'll need more wire. How much more? I don't know, maybe double the wire amounts. Anyway, we'll talk more about that in class.
I hope to see you at Brea Bead Works next month! It's such a nice store, with a terrific selection of beads and fantastic customer service. Let me know if you have any questions...
Happy wrapping,
